Some objects don't wait for the future: they rock it. The Dondolo Rocking Chair by Enrico Marone Cinzano is one of them: sustainable design and functional luxury fused into a single piece in motion, where high-end automotive components —the leather seat of an Alfa Romeo 166, the vintage metal headlight of a FIAT 500— are reborn as furniture.
This full CGI film was born as a tribute to the real film of the piece: we rebuilt the object down to the last detail —the rocking structure, the retractable table with anti-EMF coating— and gave it a staging of its own, with light as the only narrator. A homage to circular design and to Torino's industrial roots.
Modelling, materials, lighting and animation: everything built from scratch in 3D. If you can't tell where photography ends and rendering begins, that was precisely the point.
